Ford GT40 Mk I will be Auctioned

The first generation Ford GT40 Mk I was one of only 31 GT40 road car production. Street-legal version of the famous racing driver who won the 24 hours Le Mans four times in a row was built in 1967. GT40 was originally used by Shelby and Ford as a car display and has only two private owners from new. This operator 7675km (4769 miles), so that "without a doubt one of, if not the lowest mileage GT40s in the world today.
One of the most iconic racing cars ever built will be auctioned. Ford GT40 Series I to be offered widely regarded as one of the most original GT40s available.


The GT40 will be auctioned by RM Auctions during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this August. Ford in "time-capsule condition" is expected to take $ 2,300,000 to $ 2,700,000. For more information visit the RM Auctions.
